Position: Maintenance Tech Pay Rate/Range: $20.00 - $30.00 Description: Perform routine preventive maintenance weekly, follow operating manual instructions. Observe, test and assess machine operation to detect malfunctions and discuss machinery and maintenance issues with operators and supervisors. Read and follow blueprints. Job Requirements: This job requires employees to frequently lift and handle materials of varying weight, with loads exceeding 50 pounds requiring assistance. There will be exposure to potentially hazardous elements, so appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn. The job also involves standing or walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending and reaching, and occasional stooping or climbing. Candidates must have good vision and hearing, as well as a good understanding of technical skills such as electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drawings. Being proficient in operating hand and power tools, hoists, overhead cranes, and forklifts is necessary, as is basic computer literacy. Excellent communication skills for interacting with management and personnel are required. The successful candidate will also have the ability to train others.
