Industrial Maintenance
Job Description:
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
- Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
- Assist in the development, implementation, or evaluation of maintenance policies and procedures.
- Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
- Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
- Develop or implement electronic maintenance programs or computer information management systems.
- Oversee all maintenance functions to ensure proper safe preventive maintenance of physical plant and all operating equipment.
- Operate a forklift, manlift, or any other equipment needed to complete tasks.
- Implement and maintain TPM program throughout the facility.
- Lead, train, support, and help direct other maintenance personnel as needed.
- Focus on minimizing equipment downtime to support maximum production capacity and efficiency.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance and service activities.
- Responsible for scheduling and directing outside services used in supporting equipment and facilities.
- Work with Environmental consultant to ensure the company is in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Provide full support of all Lean activities and initiatives.
